Q : Can Hidden Cameras be used with Audio
Hidden cameras with audio capability can only be used by law enforement personnel. As a result of this law we do not sell hidden /spy cameras that have audio capability.
Q : Which is better Wired or Wireless Spy cams
Wireless spy cameras are very flexible in that they can be placed in almost any location and can operate using battery power only. The length of time they can operate is therefore limited to the life of the batteries . It is therefore a trade off between flexibility and time of operation.
Wireless spy cams can also operate using mains power.This is an excellent option for longer term surveillance jobs.
Wireless cameras operate on radio frequencies and it is therefore advisable not to operate two cameras in close proximity as the signals may interfere with each other.
Wired spy cams can lack flexibility but do not suffer from interference and can be powered through a mains power supply.
Q Colour or Black & White
At spy cam we recommend the use of colour. This can be more expensive than using momchrome (black & white) cameras but if you have genuine security concerns then there is no substitute for clear detail footage.
Monchrome cameras do however have one significant advantage. They can be used with infra red sensistivity. In places where only low levels of light or none at all is possible monochrome cameras with infra red is the best option.
Colour cameras with infra red functionality are available allowing good quality colour pictures during daylight hours and black and white footage during the hours of darkness.
